Swayback Branch is a family owned and operated farm focused on regenerative agriculture, low inputs and self-sufficiency to promote humanely raised healthy animals. The farm’s primary focus is raising 100% Grassfed/Finished beef using American Aberdeen and South Poll cattle along with pastured/woodland pork using Idaho Pasture Pigs (IPP). We also raise a NPIP inspected laying flock of dual purpose chickens specializing in Copper Marans, Delaware, Barbezieux, Langshan and Cream Legbar. Our animals are raised on open pasture or in silvopasture wooded environments. This allows for better management, pasture rest to regenerate the soil, and fresh forage for animal input. We have not used commercial fertilizer or widespread prescribed livestock deworming or any chemical fly control since 2020. Since then, we are starting to see an increased number of birds, wildlife and insects (dung beetles (soil regenerators)). Regenerative focused!!!! We Bring the Meat!!! We are also trying our hand at raising Honey Bees.
